Homeschooling Online Accreditation concerns
Accreditation seems to be a growing concern for many home school groups. While public high schools throughout all 50 states are beginning to require accreditation in order to accept incoming credits, the absence of accreditation may greatly hinder any home schoolers from attending colleges or universities.
Many homeschool families are experiencing a growing concern about accreditation. Credits earned must be able to transfer to a private or public high school, and of course, to any college a student has interest in. Every school has the administrative right to accept or reject credits from other schools - both private and public. To circumvent such risk, it is recommended that homeschool families enroll in an Accredited School whose accreditation agency is one of the 6 regional agencies recognized by the United States Department of Education.
Students entering into colleges may have concern if the college discovers the course content was strictly based in religious content. To avoid this, it is recommended that students take College Preparatory classes that are Christian Friendly, not Christian based. Students need to prepare to enter the university since their ninth grade year. All students need to know the leap from high school to university is not an easy one for any student. Those with high SAT scores, or who have prepared years in advance with community college classes during their high school years, make the transition more easily.

Online Homeschooling offers tremendous benefits for the homeschool family . Homeschool online programs can greatly improve your children's learning experience, with well-developed and high quality Christian based academic materials. By using our online homeschool program, one that is regionally accredited and accepted nationwide, your child can obtain a high school transcript that will be accepted by any college in the country - eliminating a big worry of many homeschoolers. Your child will have 24 hour access to an online teaching program that is easy to use, inexpensive and convenient.
Although federal law and state laws allow parents to homeschool (hslda.org/hs/default.asp ), many colleges and universities do not recognize home-based transcripts or a transcript from an umbrella school that is not regionally accredited. Most colleges require high school courses to follow a specific scope and sequence requirement as well as being accredited. By using Christian Educators Academy, you will guarantee that your child's transcript is accredited through a highly regarded regional agency. Northwest Association of Accredited Schools (NAAS), is one of the six regional accreditation agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE), and your child's transcript will be accepted by any college or university in the country.
With our online homeschool program, your child will take courses that are "Christian friendly" - yet maintain a college preparatory standard of learning. All teaching is done through the online homeschool program, and all grading is completed by educational professionals. Your child will be assigned specific teachers for each subject. Our teachers offer one-on-one tutoring or assistance when needed, and quickly respond to all questions. We also offer tutoring with the use of a white board demonstration and conference calling. As a parent, you no longer have to teach, online homeschooling does that for you, giving you more time to focus on motivating and encouraging your child in other areas.
One of the greatest advantages of homeschooling online is that lessons can be completed anytime, anywhere, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, allowing tremendous flexibility around personal schedules. Another advantage of online homeschool is that students have a full 365-day time frame to complete all courses. If they finish all 36 week courses early, they can take additional classes at no extra charge. Students can make their own schedule, work at their own pace, graduate early, or take extra time off to go on mission trips or travel.
Finally, online homeschool allows students and parents to take part in customizing a graduation plan, to help meet both academic and personal goals. Our online homeschool program allows students to compete a diverse set of elective courses for credit; including music, art, dance, drama, competitive sports, mission trips, as well as internships and community service courses. Many of our homeschool students are involved in competitive sports, dance, theater, and travel extensively. Online homeschooling allows these students to excel in their academic studies, while pursuing other interests, goals and dreams. Some of our students are entrepreneurs and have their own business. With online homeschooling, the opportunities for your child to excel in both academics and career goals are limitless.
